The Makita DHS710 is a 36V cordless circular saw designed for professional cutting applications where power and portability are essential. Powered by two 18V LXT batteries in series, this tool delivers the performance of a corded saw with the freedom of cordless operation, making it ideal for site work, roofing, and framing applications.
Built with a durable yet lightweight magnesium die-cast blade case and safety cover, the DHS710 combines robustness with excellent manoeuvrability. The compact design houses a powerful 36V DC motor drive system that maintains a no-load speed of 4,600 RPM, whilst achieving an impressive maximum cutting depth of 66mm at 90 degrees – matching the capability of the corded HS7100 model.
Practical features enhance cutting accuracy and cleanliness on site. The integrated blower function clears wood dust from the cutting line for improved visibility, whilst the rear dust exhaust and included dust nozzle help maintain a cleaner working environment. The 185mm TCT blade, rip fence, and hex wrench are supplied as standard, providing everything needed to begin work immediately.
The saw accepts 18V lithium-ion batteries up to 4.0Ah capacity, offering extended runtime between charges. At just 4.7kg, this is one of the lighter cordless circular saws in its class, reducing fatigue during overhead or repetitive cutting tasks. Note that batteries, charger, and carry case are sold separately.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
