Makita DML816X 18v LXT Cordless LED Flashlight
The Makita DML816X is an 18v LXT cordless LED flashlight designed to provide bright, adjustable work lighting on site. It uses an 18 LED array rated at 500 lumens and runs on Makita LXT lithium-ion batteries, so it fits into an existing LXT battery platform.
The head folds up and down with 7 positive stops and rotates left to right. This gives a 180° vertical and 270° horizontal angle range, so light can be directed where the work is. A large retractable hook lets you hang the flashlight from steel pipes and keep both hands free.
Three output levels (500, 250 and 100 lumens) let you balance brightness against runtime. With a 6.0Ah battery, continuous use is rated at 17, 34 or 75 hours depending on the setting. A battery protection system automatically shuts off power when the battery level is low.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
