The Makita DML817 is a cordless compact work light and USB powerbank powered by the 18v LXT battery platform, designed for tradespeople and site professionals who need reliable illumination and device charging wherever work takes them.
Three selectable lighting modes give users genuine flexibility on site. Side and Up Lighting combined delivers maximum 300-lumen output for broad illumination, Side Lighting only provides wider area coverage, and Up Lighting only offers focused task lighting. A built-in mode memory function recalls the last used setting, saving time when moving between locations.
The integrated USB-A output port allows smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices to be charged directly from the LXT battery — a practical feature for contractors working in areas without mains access. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.

A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
