The Makita DML819 is a cordless magnetic work light powered by the 18v LXT lithium-ion battery platform, designed to deliver hands-free illumination in confined spaces, vehicle engine bays, machinery compartments and on-site maintenance tasks.

Its powerful magnetic base attaches securely to steel structures, vehicle panels and equipment, keeping both hands free for the job. The foldable LED head offers 300° horizontal rotation and 180° vertical adjustment, allowing precise light placement in awkward or restricted areas.

With three brightness settings delivering up to 1,200 lumens at a 5000K colour temperature, the DML819 provides bright, neutral white light suited to detailed inspection and repair work. The light-diffusing lens reduces glare and spreads illumination evenly across the work area for improved visibility and reduced eye strain.

Makita's eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT) enhances resistance to dust and moisture, making the DML819 well suited to harsh site and workshop environments. A battery capacity warning function reduces light output as the charge depletes, giving users advance notice before the light cuts out unexpectedly.

At just 0.9kg without battery, the DML819 folds to a compact 178 x 91 x 161mm for easy transport between jobs. It is fully compatible with all Makita 18v LXT batteries, offering runtimes from 3 hours up to 46 hours depending on battery capacity and brightness setting selected.
