Makita DPB180 18v LXT Cordless Bandsaw
The Makita DPB180 is a high-performance cordless portable bandsaw powered by 18v Lithium-Ion batteries, delivering professional cutting capability in an extremely lightweight design. Developed for tradespeople who need portability without sacrificing power, this bandsaw handles pipes up to 120mm diameter with ease.
The tool features an adjustable stopper plate for cutting pipes near walls or floors, making it ideal for plumbing and HVAC installations in confined spaces. A built-in LED light ensures excellent visibility in dimly lit workplaces, whilst the ergonomically designed soft grip provides superior handling and comfortable operation during extended use.
Compatible with Makita's LXT battery system, the DPB180 benefits from the air-cooled Makstar Optimum Charging System with rapid 22-minute charge times. Available in configurations with or without batteries and charger to suit your existing tool collection.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
