Makita DSP600ZJ Twin 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Plunge Saw 6 Piece Kit
Makita's first cordless plunge saw, the DSP600 shares many similarities with the SP6000 but with the go-anywhere portability afforded by battery power. To generate enough power to drive the motor effectively, the machine uses two standard 18v LXT batteries, installed in series to give it a total of 36v - this enables performance comparable to the corded equivalent, while benefitting from the increased flexibility and convenience that cordless machines can provide on the jobsite. Like the SP6000, the DSP600 has an electric brake, soft start and depth stopper function for splinter-free cutting; it has also been fitted with a brushless motor to ensure maximum runtime from the batteries, and includes Makita's Automatic Torque Drive technology: a performance regulating system that automatically adjusts the cutting speed according to load condition, helping to ensure consistent results in all materials.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
