Makita DSP600ZJ Twin 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Plunge Saw 6 Piece Kit
Makita's first cordless plunge saw, the DSP600ZJ represents a landmark in jobsite flexibility. Sharing many of the hallmarks of the corded SP6000, this machine delivers comparable performance while offering the go-anywhere convenience of battery power. It draws on two 18V LXT batteries installed in series to produce a combined 36V, giving it the muscle to tackle demanding cuts without being tethered to a power supply.
The DSP600 is fitted with a brushless motor for maximum efficiency and runtime, alongside Makita's Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT), which automatically adjusts cutting speed to match load conditions — ensuring consistent, reliable results across all materials. A depth stopper, soft start, and electric brake provide precise, splinter-free cutting, while the bevel range of -1 to 48 degrees with positive stops makes angled work straightforward.
This kit includes guide rails, clamps, and a carry bag for the rails, plus a Makpac connector case for the saw. Available with or without batteries and charger.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
