Makita DUS158 18v LXT Cordless Backpack Garden Sprayer
The Makita DUS158 is a cordless backpack pressure sprayer designed for efficient application of liquids across larger areas without manual pumping. Powered by any Makita 18V LXT lithium-ion battery, this 15-litre capacity sprayer eliminates the need to stop and manually repressurrise, making it ideal for groundskeepers, landscapers and gardeners who need to cover extensive areas continuously.
The backpack design features a comfortably fitting harness with a well-ventilated back pad, ensuring user comfort even during extended use in warm conditions. IP54 rating provides protection against dust and splash water ingress, making the DUS158 suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions.
A paddle switch positioned under the spray wand grip allows for easy on/off control during operation, whilst the lock-on function enables continuous spraying without constant trigger pressure. The anti-restart function and easy battery removal add to the practical safety features. The unit comes complete with two specialist nozzles – a Y-shaped double nozzle and a wide-angle herbicide nozzle – along with a measuring cup and spray pipe holder for convenient operation.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
