Makita DUX18 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Split Shaft Garden Multi Tool Kit
Part of Makita's 18v LXT cordless platform, the DUX18 is a split shaft power head designed to be a cost-competitive yet highly versatile garden multi tool. Built around a soft start brushless motor with electric brake and variable speed control, it delivers consistent, reliable performance across a wide range of garden tasks.
This kit includes both the EM404MP brushcutter attachment — featuring a steel drive shaft for reduced vibration and a bump-and-feed trimmer head — and the EN402MP hedge trimmer attachment, which sports a 500mm double-edged blade with a 13-stage adjustable head ranging 90° up to 90° down. All attachments connect via a tool-less slide joint coupling with a simple clip-lock mechanism.
Available with or without a battery and charger, making it ideal whether you're new to the Makita LXT platform or already own compatible batteries.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
