The Makita DVC660 is a cordless backpack vacuum cleaner designed for professional tradespeople requiring powerful, portable extraction on site. Powered by two 18V LXT lithium-ion batteries in series to deliver 36V performance, this brushless motor vacuum combines exceptional suction with complete freedom of movement across the jobsite.
The DVC660 features a convenient handheld controller for on/off switching and three-stage power selection (max/high/low), allowing you to adjust suction to suit the task whilst maximising runtime. The mode memory function automatically starts the vacuum at the same power setting as when previously switched off, eliminating the need for constant adjustment. A battery protection circuit safeguards your LXT batteries from damage caused by over-discharge, high temperature or overload current.
Built for all-day comfort, this backpack vacuum features a fully adjustable harness and waist belt system that distributes weight evenly across your shoulders and hips. The controller clips conveniently onto the waist belt for easy access during operation. With a HEPA filter fitted as standard, the DVC660 captures fine dust particles to help maintain healthier working conditions. Despite its powerful 95W maximum suction, the vacuum operates at just 70dB(A), making it one of the quieter extraction solutions available.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.

A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
