Makita HR005G 40v Max XGT Cordless Brushless Demolition Hammer
The Makita HR005G is a professional-grade cordless demolition hammer powered by the advanced 40v Max XGT lithium-ion battery system. This powerful SDS Max rotary hammer delivers an impressive 8.0J of impact energy, making it ideal for demanding drilling and chiselling applications in concrete and masonry. Available as a bare unit or complete with batteries and charger.
Engineered with Makita's brushless motor technology, the HR005G provides exceptional performance and extended runtime. The tool features Active Feedback Sensing Technology that automatically shuts down the motor if rotation speed suddenly drops, protecting both operator and tool. Anti-vibration housing combined with AVT (Anti-Vibration Technology) significantly reduces operator fatigue during extended use.
The integrated Auto Start Wireless System connects seamlessly to compatible Bluetooth-enabled dust extractors, which automatically activate when the tool is switched on. Additional convenience features include an LED job light for improved visibility, soft start function, electric brake, and torque limiter for enhanced safety. The soft no-load function intelligently reduces motor speed during idling to minimise vibration. Supplied in a robust Makita MakPac Type 4 Connector Case for secure storage and transportation.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
