The Makita ML012G 40V Max XGT Cordless Bar Light is a professional-grade LED work light designed to deliver wide, even illumination across workshops, job sites, garages, and industrial environments.
Powered by Makita's XGT 40V Max Li-Ion battery system, the ML012G produces up to 1,700 lumens of clean, daylight-quality light at 5,000K colour temperature — ideal for detailed tasks where accurate colour rendering and reduced eye strain matter. Three brightness settings (400, 800, and 1,700 lumens) give users precise control over output to suit the task at hand.
The bar light's slim, foldable design makes it straightforward to transport and store between jobs. It rotates through seven click-stop positions — 90 degrees clockwise and 180 degrees counterclockwise — so light can be directed exactly where it's needed without compromising stability.
Practical mounting options add genuine versatility on site. A top hook, three straps, and a telescopic hood hook allow the light to be suspended, strapped, or attached to vehicle bonnets and rear doors with minimal setup time. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
