Makita PB003G 40v XGT Cordless Brushless Bench or Handheld Band Saw
The Makita PB003G is a 40v XGT cordless brushless band saw designed for professional metal cutting in both handheld and bench-mounted configurations.
Powered by Makita's 40v XGT lithium-ion battery platform, the PB003G delivers the cordless freedom required for on-site fabrication, installation and maintenance work without compromising on cutting performance. It is capable of cutting steel pipe and profiles up to 66 x 66mm, making it well suited to electricians, plumbers, fabricators and metalworkers who need accurate, repeatable cuts away from mains power.
The saw can be used as a portable handheld unit or mounted to an optional stand for precise bench-top operation, where it is capable of achieving accurate right-angle cuts. A tool-less adjustable stopper plate allows quick setup changes between materials, while constant speed control maintains consistent blade speed under load.
Safety and reliability are addressed through an electronic brake, a brushless motor for reduced maintenance and longer runtime, and Makita's eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT) for enhanced resistance to dust and moisture. A built-in LED worklight with pre-glow and afterglow functions improves visibility in poorly lit working environments.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
