The Portwest Glowtex Endurance Glow in the Dark Safety Helmet is a photo-luminescent hard hat designed for tradespeople working in low-light or no-light environments, offering enhanced visibility alongside electrical insulation protection.

Built from an ABS shell incorporating a special photo-luminescent additive, this safety helmet absorbs light in well-lit conditions and releases a glowing effect when light levels drop — making it particularly suitable for tunnelling, underground utilities work, and confined space entry. The unvented shell design ensures safe use in electrical applications, with insulation rated to 1000Vac or 1500Vdc in compliance with EN 50365.

Comfort and fit are handled by a 6-point textile suspension harness and a wheel ratchet adjustment system, accommodating head sizes from 56 to 63cm. A 4-point chin strap is included as standard, adding stability during demanding tasks. The helmet is also compatible with the PS58 visor holder and PW47/PS47 clip-on ear muffs, making it straightforward to build a complete PPE solution without changing headwear.

CE certified to Category III and UKCA marked, this helmet meets the requirements for high-risk applications including protection against lateral deformation and molten metal.
