Nice slim, lightweight model with the slightly smaller battery. i've had a larger nicad version that has been doing good service for 7 years now, including time as a professional boatbuilder - so happy with ryobi. only really bought this as the bundle was the cheapest way of getting 2 lithium batteries + charger - the screwdriver (for me) was a freebie at the price i paid :-)

As a user of portable cordless tools for many years bought this machine quite a few months ago. The chuck on this combi drill is slightly out of alignment from new, out of the box, making the drilling of small holes, say about 3mm and less, tricky as the drill bit has a wobble. No,it isn't the drill bit bent, several brand new bits have been tried. Also the chuck works its way loose when used on hammer (percussion)action when drilling masonry. Perhaps ryobi should consider using a chuck similar to some other manufacturers with either flats or a hex at the tip of the chuck next to the jaws whereby a wrench can be applied to enable positive tightening if required. . Also the lowest torque setting is way higher than most other combi drill drivers making it unsuitable for small wood screws and small self tapping screws causing them to "strip" their threads as the slipping torque is too strong even on minimum setting. The misaligned chuck may be just a one off, but that said, can't really recommend this product. ....Colin
