This is my fourth Ryobi one+ tool. Straight away I was impressed with the build quality and the ease of use. Edging easily switched to and also robust enough to tackle things a bit tougher than just grass. Fourth tool but won’t be my last.

The major benefit attaching to this, and pretty well any other cordless product, is the freedom that comes with being "untethered". Another feature shared with most other cordless products is that they are comparatively expensive againt the corded versions. For the type of domestic use I have this strimmer is plenty powerful enough and using my 4ah battery it keeps going almost as long as the strimming spool. - Actually I am sure I can be a bit more careful with the feed to make it last a bit longer. The oportunity for adjustment for handle length and angle of head are considerable, although if there is only one user the initial setup is likely to be the only adjustment you will need.... and because the head angle is adjustable there is a degree of movement that one would not normally expect from this type of kit. - Nothing that can't be got used to however and I am generally pleased with this product.

I have a 50m perimeter garden and wondered how many batteries I would need to complete the task but 1 4A/HR battery breezed through it. The unit is fast and powerful enough to cut through the more dense clumps of grass and small twigs. So more easier than a corded model and less cumbersome than a petrol version. Not suitable for heavy duty work as there is only 1 cord line instead of the usual 2 but for light duty work this is completely adequate. Overall, extremely pleased with my purchase.
