Nice bit of kit - well built. best for logs longer than twice the length you wish to cut, then becomes difficult to cut that last bit into two equal lengths. for branches of smaller diameter, say two inches, then (as an earlier reviewer commented) the gripping teeth are not close enough together so could be improved by adding a couple of extra teeth where it matters. i like it - it works better than anything else that i have used. i work alone; it is easy to handle and seems safe to use with a chain saw (but h+s warning, do make sure the saw cannot take a chunk out of your legs, or anywhere else for that matter!).

Excellent little log horse. Good build quality and easy to carry about and set up. Makes using a chainsaw alot safer++++++++++++++++

The smart holder log saw horse is a simple but effective piece of equipment. The cantilever effect enables the operator to place a good length log in its grip and will not need to re-adjust or touch the log until it is reduced to the required blocks. This enables the sawman to work unassisted with the assurance that the log won't slip or drop during cutting. The saw horse folds flat and is quite portable. It is a quality tool.

This is a very clever and well thought-out device that enables you to be much more productive when cutting wood single handed, either with handsaw or chainsaw (i use both). It is light enough to carry easily, and can be set up in less than 1 minute. two criticisms (1) for smaller diameter timbers (2" or less) the spacing of the gripper barbs is too wide. There should be a couple of closer spaced ones in the middle of the run to grip smaller wood. (2) the working height is a bit low for a tall user (i am 6' 2") and so your back is bent. I just put it up on some blocks laid flat.

Does exactly what it says 'on the tin'! very easy to assemble. study and strong and yet folds neatly for storage. at last i have convenient tool to help chainsawing logs to length for our wood burning stove. most important of all – using the log saw horse is a much, much safer way of holding logs when chainsawing.

Works well with most logs - struggled when they got too large!
