The Stanley Intelli Tools S160 is a multi-function stud sensor designed for locating wood and metal studs, as well as detecting live AC cables behind walls and ceilings. This versatile detector is ideal for tradespeople and DIY users who need reliable scanning before drilling, fixing or mounting.

With single-button operation, the S160 delivers straightforward functionality for fast site work. The device detects wood studs up to 25mm deep and metal studs up to 38mm, whilst also identifying live AC wiring within a 15-45cm radius at depths up to 50mm. An audible alert signals stud detection, complemented by directional LED lights that provide visual guidance to pinpoint the exact location.

The auto-calibration feature eliminates missed studs caused by incorrect initial setup, ensuring consistent accuracy across different wall materials. A centre marking channel allows precise marking for fixing positions, making it particularly suitable for tasks such as TV mounting, installing shelving, and hanging pictures.
