Vitax Slug Gone Wool Pellets provide a natural, organic solution for protecting plants from slugs and snails. These innovative pellets are produced from wool and form a highly effective textured barrier around vulnerable plants. Suitable for organic gardens, they're ideal for use around fruit, flowers and vegetables, and work perfectly in tubs and baskets.

Simply lay the pellets on the compost around plant stems and water. Once wetted, the pellets 'self-felt' to form a continuous protective mat. The minute fibres irritate slugs and snails, whilst the mat absorbs moisture from their foot, making it extremely difficult for them to travel across. For best results, apply in a 10cm wide band around the base of plants.

The wool pellet mat excels at keeping pot surfaces dry whilst retaining moisture beneath, reducing weed germination and cutting down watering frequency. As a biodegradable protein fibre, Slug Gone releases nitrogen, potassium, sulphur and other trace elements, and when dug into soil after use, it feeds plants and improves moisture retention.
