Wilkinson Sword Anvil Secateurs

The Wilkinson Sword Anvil Secateurs are a reliable pruning tool designed specifically for tackling woody, older growth and general garden cutting tasks. The anvil cutting action, where a single sharpened blade closes against a flat block, makes these secateurs particularly effective on tougher, drier stems that would resist or damage a bypass design.

The toothed anvil block grips the wood firmly during the cut, preventing slipping and ensuring a clean, defined result. The high carbon steel blade features a non-stick coating to reduce friction and sap build-up, helping the blade glide through material more smoothly and making cleaning easier after use.

Suitable for both left and right-handed users, the central locking catch adds practical versatility for anyone reaching for these in the tool shed or potting area. With a maximum cutting diameter of 22mm, they are well suited to pruning established shrubs, deadheading woody perennials, and general maintenance cutting throughout the growing season.
