Wilkinson Sword Ratchet Anvil Pruning Secateurs

The Wilkinson Sword Ratchet Anvil Pruning Secateurs are designed for cutting woody and thick-stemmed growth, making them a practical choice for garden maintenance and light horticultural work.

Anvil secateurs work by closing a single sharpened blade down onto a flat, softer metal anvil on the lower jaw — a design well-suited to tougher, drier stems where clean cuts through thicker material are needed. This model adds a 3-step ratchet mechanism, which allows the cut to be completed in stages rather than in one squeeze, significantly reducing strain on the wrist and hand.

The SK5 steel blade features a non-stick coating to help keep cuts clean and reduce sap build-up during prolonged use. Handles are constructed from high-strength nylon fibre with a soft-grip finish, and the central locking catch accommodates both left- and right-handed users — a useful detail for professional and home use alike.
