Black and Decker BCHTS3620 36v Cordless Hedge Trimmer 550mm
Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

I have used tooled up twice now and each time my order arrived within two days with standard delivery would not hesitate to recommend them and value for money best price I could find on the internet
A really good machine!
The saw function is pointless and makes it difficult to use. You can only really cut in one direction as the saw catches on the twigs and doesn't cut. Like another review here it clearly has not been through a proper evaluation before it was launched as it would be clear it doesn't really work. Had I known wouldn't have bought it.
This current model with the 'saw' tip was bought to replace my elderly old-style 36v hedge trimmer. I knew before buying that this new one would be c.r.p. but I'm locked into the 36v system. Actually, for hedge trimming it's not bad - as long as you only use the blade side without the moronic saw. If you use the side with the saw the performance is poor as the tip pushes stuff away from the cutters. The 'saw' itself is beyond pointless and useless. I've tried it on a variety of branches - it scratches the bark and waves the branch about - and that's it. Overall I would only recommend this tool if you know how bad this one aspect is and if you are committed to the 36 volt system tools. It's an absolute example of how a lot of young guns had a 'great idea' but never really put it to a real world test. Out with the spanners, angle grinder etc to remove the offending member!
I have only used this hedger once: it is balanced and comfortable to use. It gave me no problems. It is too early to comment on its durability, or, indeed on the length of time available for working on a single charge, other reviews may help address this. So far, so good.
I already had a battery and charger which helped with cost. Easy enough to operate, early days so can only say trimmer does a fair job. Working head does not rotate so can be a little awkward to operate and it remains to be seen how robust it will prove.
