Old strimmer had broken down, needed one that was capable of some heavy duty stuff. Read a hilarious review of this item on another site which won't be mentioned that called it the Chuck Norris of strimmers which was just what we needed. It lives up to that reputation. Very happy with TooledUp service too. Delivery was very quick, and a good deal.

I use this strimmer in my medium sized garden. It works perfectly as a strimmer and lawn edger. The balance is quite good and the power ample for cutting everyday garden weeds. I would recommend it for all domestic use.

This product is excellent, it is powerful and does everything it says it does, I used the spool line and the brush cutting line and both worked better than anything I have used before I would highly recommend it. I would also highly recommended Toolstore, price and delivery was for instance class.

I recently put in a new lawn with a patio slightly higher than the grass. This made it difficult to get to the edges with my lawn mower. This Trimmer with its two different angle functions has made my life so much easier and now and long uncut edges are a thing of the past thanks to this awesome trimmer.

Great Trimmer for the money. Reasonably light so that I can use it, but still a substantial item. Quieter than I was expecting, over 20 years since I last had one. Copes well with longer grass. Easy to change from upright trimmer to edger. A good all round addition to my tools.

Very pleased with this powerful but lightweight strimmer. Easy to operate especially with the extending feature and rotating head for edging. It will cut through thin ivy and if used carefully, invasive irises. Love it...!

At first I was looking for a rechargeable strimmer but all the reviews were luke warm. In the end I went for this 700W wired strimmer and it is really good and glad I chose it. Prior to purchasing I had a pre-sales enquiry and found the sales team extremely helpful.

Q : Hi, Does the guide wheel at the front prevent you from strimming right up to the wall.
A : Hi Hugh, the guide wheel is designed to sit within the cutting radius so as long as the line is fed to its correct length you should be OK - however, you could come up against obstructions which might get in the way, depending on how perfectly flat and even the wall is, and whether there are any obstacles on or around it. If the line gets too short for whatever reason, you might also find it doesn't quite reach it any more.
Q : I can understand why Dave asked you whether the trimmer comes with a power cable because a read of the user manual you provide a link for does raise a doubt as to whether it comes with one as standard. (It never ever occurred to me that it possibly wouldn't.) So when you guys say they 'come with a power cable', is it already in the box when you guys receive the trimmer or are you providing the cable yourself separately? Also, how long (in metres) is the power cable?
A : Hi Malc, unfortunately as we're all working from home at the moment I can't go and check one in the warehouse but we don't add anything from this end so the cable is included in the box - as to whether it's fixed or in two parts I'm not 100% sure, but we've sold over 400 of them recently so if customers couldn't use them I'm sure we would have had a large proportion of those back by now! Black & Decker haven't published the length of it in their specifications so I'm hesitant to assure you what this is, but according to third parties it's around 12 metres (please note I can't verify this, and in most cases it's safe to assume you will need a suitable extension reel when using a corded grass trimmer)
Q : Hi, is the handle length adjustable, & what is max height from grond to handle, I'm over 6ft and have to bend over when using my old B&B
A : Hi Peter, unfortunately this model is not telescopic and although I don't have the exact dimensions it looks like you might have trouble with it going by the usage images supplied by Black & Decker. We do stock some telescopic grass trimmers and larger brush cutters which may be more appropriate?
Q : How is the line replaced ie can you buy line separately and wind on spool, or do you buy new spool. If the latter how much and what length of line on spool
A : The GL7033 can be used with standard line or with single use heavy duty lines. The heavy duty lines are simply swapped out when they need to be changed, but the standard spool can either be replaced in whole, or refilled if you're happy to wind on the line yourself. All available line is shown in the "Accesssories" section on the right of the product page.
Q : Hi can you please tell me, if one can attach Metal weed brush or blades to this product, instead of the line. Thanks
A : Hi, no this designed for use with line only but if you go to the Brush Cutters category (in outdoor power tools) these machines can all be used with metal blades as well as nylon trimming line.
Q : Does it come with a power lead? How does the strimmer wire extend?
A : Yes, all corded electric grass trimmers on our site come with a power cable. The Black & Decker AFS Automatic single line feed system extends the line automatically so under normal circumstances you don't have to do anything and it should replenish any broken line by itself.
Q : Hi, I am about to buy the Black & Decker grass trimmer but I am not sure whether the battery and charger is included in the sale price. Are they?
A : Hi Margaret, the GL7033 is actually a corded tool so runs off mains electricity. We do sell Black & Decker cordless grass trimmers - for example the one on Product ID 20988146 - and these are usually available either with or without a battery charger. In these cases you would just choose what option you want from the green drop down menu on the right. If it says "Voltage: 240v" (like it does on this model) it is a corded tool.
