Although this machine feels powerful I was disappointing by how much effort it takes and line it uses, I ran out of strimmer cord in a few metres of weeds. The machine keeps feeding out line and cutting it off. The supplied heavy duty cable is very expensive to replace and is limited in reach by the wheel mounted on the strimmer. There is also nowhere on the machine to store the power cable when not in use. It is not as comfortable to use as my old Black and Decker and takes a lot more space to store. It does seem well made but does suffer from a poor design.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. IT IS VERY EFFICIENT AND EASY TO SET UP AND USE. THIS APPLIANCE ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY FRM ORDERING AND IT WAS WELL PACKAGED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND WOULD BUY FROM THEM AGAIN

You often fear the worst buying Black and Decker these days as with most manufacturers of power tools they are made in China. For sure its very plastic but it seems well thought out and not too flimsy. The shield is snap in and does its job but does look a little wobbly at times. On the whole though a decent product and time will tell if it has a decent life span or suffers from the junk build that most china produced goods come with.

I bought this grass trimmer for my husband and he is very happy with it and says it’s the best he has used and he’s used a few. His words were very powerful and cuts through grass like butter.

This black and decker strimmer GL9035 is well thought out with its features, built-in ground wheel for edging the lawn, push button to adjust the multi positional steadying handle, two forms of cutting heads, one for lawn grass and another for courser vegetation and a good powerful 900 Watt electric motor. She's quite a beast, as I found out by stripping the lawn bare in a few places until I got used to it, yes I'm very pleased with my new toy, thank you
