With a powerful 500W motor & a wide 22mm blade gap, the Black & Decker GT5055 is a reliable, efficient electric hedge trimmer for medium to large sized hedges. Its durable 55cm blade is fitted with precisely angled cutting teeth, providing a cleaner, smoother cut. The blade slant also reduces vibration during operation, improving handling for enhanced trimming precision. Accurate control is further helped by an ergonomic, rubber over-moulded bail handle, which allows for multiple grip points, increasing the degree of control in awkward postures for better results when trimming difficult to access hedge surfaces. What's more, the GT5055's low overall weight of 2.8kg is balanced between the blade & handle for strain free guidance when cutting vertically, horizontally, or at an angle. Safe operation is ensured thanks to the trimmer's safe start switch, which prevents accidental starting by requiring both hands to trigger, & by a large transparent protective guard, which shields the user from debris without obscuring the view of the blade. The GT5055's innovative integrated cable management system is another significant benefit; the system retains spare cord automatically, preventing it from becoming entangled or severed for worry free use.
