I have to say poor build quality because my previous one failed in the same way as that of other reviewers. The spool slipped down and stripped its plastic gear wheel. In all other respects it is good beyond expectation. Took several weeks to arrive but no criticism of Tooled-Up because they said that it would. It arrived one day earlier than forecast.

With anything mechanical, time will tell. But early signs this is a gamer changer: light enough, tough enough and long lasting battery to do all edging and strimming on a medium/large garden, with power to spare (rarely use the 'max power' setting). Have bought a hedgecutter which shares the same battery. Key will be how well the battery and its life lasts...But, as of today, would certainly buy again.

I have only used this product twice so far so cannot comment on its durability. However, my first impressions are good. It was worth the extra money to dispense with the trailing cable and, at 3.1kg, this is as light as my old cabled trimmer. It seems like a sturdy bit of kit and if I am still happy at the end of the season I will buy a bare B&D Lawnmower to share the same battery.

So glad to have lost the cord and this trimmer works well. It lacks the ability to turn the cutting edge which I would have wanted for the price, the plastic mouldings look a bit cheap and I had to finish the assembly. But it is easy to use and does a good job. Haven't had to use the special button to free up the blades yet.

Very good product. Light and easy to use. Battery lasts plenty of time. Definitely very good value for money.
