Bosch GCU 18V-30 18v Cordless Brushless Drywall Cut Out Tool
The Bosch GCU 18V-30 is an 18V cordless brushless drywall cut out tool designed for drywall contractors who need reliable, high-performance cutting throughout a full working day.
Powered by a brushless motor spinning at 30,000 rpm, the GCU 18V-30 can cut over 100 metres of 12 mm drywall on a single EXPERT battery charge. The compact, cylindrical body keeps weight to a minimum at under 1 kg, making it comfortable to grip and manoeuvre in any position without fatigue — ideal for extended work on site.
The tool is built for flush cutting drywall around windows, doors, access panels, and electrical outlets, and also handles plywood, OSB, and ceiling tiles. An IP5X dust-sealed switch protects internal components from fine drywall dust, prolonging the service life of the tool on even the dustiest job sites.
Compatible with the Bosch Professional 18V System and the multi-brand AMPShare battery alliance, the GCU 18V-30 integrates easily into an existing cordless platform. It accepts 3 mm, 6 mm, 1/8", 5/32", and 1/4" collets, giving contractors flexibility across different cutting applications.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
