Bosch Hex Shank HSS-AlTiN Step Drill Bit

The Bosch Hex Shank HSS-AlTiN Step Drill Bit is a stepped drill bit designed for drilling and enlarging round holes in thin materials. One bit covers several hole diameters, with smooth, burr-free results.

The split-point tip allows an easy start without pre-punching. The CNC ground spiral flute is designed to remove chips efficiently and reduce vibration for even drilling. Axial and radial relief grinding gives the highest cutting performance and smoothness.

This step drill bit suits thin materials including sheet steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, sheet plastic and plastic. It is also suited to deburring and to enlarging existing holes. It is made from HSS (high-speed steel) and offers a long service life when used with coolant.

The hex shank gives a strong connection and maximum torque transmission in three-jaw chucks and ¼" internal hex tool holders. Laser-marked hole diameters on both spiral flutes are easy to read and durable, so you can select the correct step quickly.
