DeWalt’s XR Flexvolt system has introduced a range of 54v power tools which offer exceptional performance and runtime, enabling the mobile user to reliably undertake heavy duty applications without need for mains power. As well as providing the high voltages necessary for these new tools, Flexvolt batteries are also backwards compatible with the DeWalt XR 18v Lithium Ion system, letting you share a single battery platform between a huge variety of cordless tools.

The DCG414 is a 54v angle grinder which has been engineered to deliver heavy duty grinding and cutting performance in a robust and durable housing, while providing high levels of user safety, comfort and control. Equipped with a brushless motor for highly effecient energy transfer from Flexvolt lithium ion batteries (not included), the DCG414 is a low maintenance tool which has an integrated fine mesh barrier to restrict the amount of dust and debris that gets sucked through the air vents and into the machine, helping to safeguard the internal components over the tool's lifetime. Further ensuring long term durability, the DCG414's spindle lock is recessed into the machine's gear housing, protecting it from damage as well as allowing maximum depth of cut from all angles.

The DCG414 has a number of reassuring safety features which help to minimise the risks associated with grinding operations. As well as the standard protective guard and two-position side handle, the DCG414 has an electronic clutch and brake system; the clutch reduces any sudden reactionary forces caused by kickback in the event of a pinch or stall, while the electronic brake ensures the spinning accessory is brought to a rapid halt as soon as the trigger is released. A rubber overmould provides enhanced grip for excellent control and a secure hold, while ensuring the machine remains comfortable to use during regular applications.
