The Festool Sword Saw SSU 200 EB-Plus is a mains-powered chain saw designed for cutting wood and insulating materials in construction applications, with a cutting depth of up to 200 mm.

Weighing 7.1 kg without accessories, the SSU 200 is a compact and manageable option for contractors working with timber and pressure-resistant insulating materials such as PUR, polystyrene, and wooden fibreboards. The integrated guide slot in the aluminium die-cast base plate allows accurate straight trimming, longitudinal cuts, mitre cuts, and compound cuts when used with a compatible guide rail.

The saw supports mitre cuts from 0° to 60°, making it suitable for a wide range of carpentry applications including chop, rip, mitre, and jack-rafter cuts. A drawing cut action delivers rapid, jolt-free operation with a high-quality finish, while the 1600 W motor with efficient electronics maintains consistent cutting pressure throughout the workpiece.

Practical on-site features include tool-free chain changing and tensioning, a rotary dust-extraction attachment for extractor connection, and a 7.5 m power cord for good reach without an extension lead. The saw is supplied complete with a universal saw chain, chain oil, protective cover, and a Systainer SYS3 M 437 for organised storage and transport.
