Arrived promptly. I was happily cutting down a tall climbing rose when after 15-20 cuts the blade suddenly locked shut in the closed position. Telephoned Fiskars who said they would send out a replacement. However, on further investigation untightened one of the nuts and bingo it worked perfectly. I hadn't previously liked to do this in case it invalidated the guarantee. Now a happy bunny!

Q : On pruning my fruit tree with Fiskars UPX82 Powergear lopper the string has broken. Where can I get this fixed please?
A : The UPX82 has a 10 year warranty so you may be able to get a replacement under warranty by contacting the retailer you bought it from. If it's out of warranty unfortunately we don't stock Fiskars spares or operate a repair service but I think the best port of call would be to contact Fiskars themselves - they are able to provide a number of replacement parts and although I can't see this component listed they may be able to advise how to go about replacing it.

This product carries a product lifetime manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship for the expected life of the product as defined by the manufacturer, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. In the unlikely event of a fault the item returned is subject to fair wear & tear and must not have been used beyond the scope of it's design.
