Fiskars XACT Weed Puller

This is our second Fiskars weed puller. Don't use any other type. We started with two other makes and these are the best. Don't try to pull weeds out of concrete hard ground though, it has to be reasonably soft or you will break the weeder. Trying to pull from hard ground in any case just leads to the roots snapping off.

I dithered for ages whether to buy this or go for a cheaper, similar weeder. So glad I made the right choice, very easy to use despite arthritic hands and creaky back. I covered a lot of ground in very little time in both wet & dry conditions. The downside is the holes it leaves but a bit of compost cures that, or I found if you loosened the offending weed enough you could pull by hand and get just the root eliminating the hole, bit of a faff, but. All in all, wish I'd bought one years ago. Fabulously simple tool, well worth the money.

Good value , easy to use, and very sturdy. It will be invaluable to erase the dandelions in our law.
