Makita 191U48-0 40v Max XGT Cordless 4 Battery 5ah and Charger Kit
The Makita 191U48-0 is a comprehensive battery and charger starter kit for the 40v Max XGT cordless power tool platform. This Power Source pack includes four 5.0ah XGT batteries, a twin-port fast charger, and a Makpak type 3 stackable case, providing everything needed to power your XGT cordless tools on site.
Introduced in 2020, Makita's 40v XGT range represents a heavy-duty cordless platform built around an advanced battery system. XGT batteries feature robust housings with impact-absorbing padding and offer rapid charging capabilities, with full recharge possible in as little as 28 minutes. Two-way digital communication between battery and tool ensures optimum performance and reliability, whilst allowing for future updates to the platform.
The XGT system is designed to work alongside Makita's established 18v LXT range rather than replace it, and the ADP10 charging adaptor allows you to recharge both LXT and XGT batteries from the same charger to reduce clutter on site. The included Makpak case can be stacked and connected with other cases in the range, as well as many Systainer-type carry cases from other manufacturers, providing flexible storage and transport solutions for professional contractors.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
