The Makita BL1850B 18V 5.0Ah Li-ion battery is a genuine Makstar replacement pack supplied as a set of three, designed for professional use across the full Makita LXT cordless platform.
Each battery delivers 5.0Ah of capacity, providing extended runtime for demanding site tasks including drilling, cutting and fastening — reducing the need for frequent battery swaps during prolonged work. Low self-discharge technology ensures the batteries hold their charge during storage, making them dependable when picked up after downtime.
Star Protection Computer Controls are built into each unit, offering overload, over-discharge and overheating protection to safeguard both the battery and compatible tools. An integrated LED charge level indicator lets you check remaining capacity quickly without needing a charger to hand.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.

A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
