Makita BL1860B 18v LXT Cordless Li-ion Battery 6ah
The Makita BL1860B is an 18V lithium-ion battery designed to power Makita's extensive LXT cordless tool range. This genuine 6.0Ah Makstar battery pack delivers extended runtime for increased performance and productivity on demanding applications, making it ideal for professional tradespeople who need reliable, long-lasting power throughout the working day.
Featuring an integrated LED charge level indicator, this battery allows you to monitor remaining capacity at a glance, helping you plan work and avoid unexpected downtime. The battery charges in approximately 55 minutes when paired with a Makita rapid charger, minimising interruptions to your workflow.
Despite its higher 6.0Ah capacity, this battery maintains the same compact dimensions and weight as the 5.0Ah, 4.0Ah and 3.0Ah versions, ensuring excellent balance and manoeuvrability across all compatible LXT tools. Star Protection Computer Controls technology actively monitors battery conditions during use and charging, providing overload, over-discharge and overheating protection whilst minimising self-discharge for extended storage life.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.

A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
