The Makita DGA900 Twin 18V LXT Cordless Angle Grinder represents a significant advancement in industrial grinding technology, delivering mains-equivalent performance with complete cordless freedom. Powered by twin 18V batteries providing 36V output to a high torque brushless motor, this 230mm grinder achieves speeds up to 6,000 RPM whilst accommodating discs up to 6.5mm thick.
Engineered for demanding industrial applications, the DGA900 incorporates cutting-edge safety and performance features. Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) shuts down the tool if rotation speed suddenly decreases, protecting the operator from kickback. Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT) intelligently adjusts cutting speed according to load conditions, ensuring optimal performance throughout the work cycle. Additional safety features include soft start to reduce torque twist, electronic current limiter with electric brake, and anti-restart function preventing unexpected activation.
The ergonomic design features a rubberised slim softgrip barrel with conveniently positioned switch and lock-off button, whilst the spindle lock operates easily with gloved hands. The side handle mounts on either side of the gear head, and an external frame assembly protects batteries in harsh environments. Available as a bare unit or complete kit with batteries, charger and carry case.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
