The Makita DJV182 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Jigsaw is a professional-grade top handle jigsaw engineered for precision cutting across wood, steel, and aluminium. Powered by an efficient brushless motor, this versatile tool delivers 800 to 3,500 strokes per minute with variable speed control via dial, allowing you to match the cutting speed to your specific application.
Designed for both accuracy and convenience, the DJV182 features tool-less blade change for swift blade swaps, a change lever offering 3 orbital settings plus straight cutting, and a soft start function for smooth, controlled start-ups. The rigid aluminium base bevels from 0 to 45 degrees in both directions, whilst the blower function keeps your cutting line clear of debris. Twin LED job lights illuminate the work area for enhanced visibility, and the ergonomic soft grip ensures comfortable handling during extended use.
This jigsaw is available as a bare unit or as a complete kit with batteries, charger, and carry case.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
