Makita DKP180 18v LXT Cordless Planer
The Makita DKP180 18V LXT Cordless Planer delivers the proven performance of the mains-powered KP0800 with the freedom of cordless operation. Developed for professional tradespeople, this planer provides unrestricted movement in the workshop and enhanced versatility on the jobsite without the constraints of power cables.
Capable of planing to a depth of 2.0mm and rebating to 9.0mm, the DKP180 handles a wide range of carpentry and joinery tasks with precision. The 82mm planing width and 14,000 RPM no-load speed ensure efficient material removal, whilst the advanced lithium-ion battery technology delivers extended runtime and reliable power throughout the working day.
Available in three configurations: bare unit only, or as complete kits with batteries, charger and Makpac storage case.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
