This bare unit configuration of the DKP180 18V LXT Cordless Planer is ideal for tradespeople already invested in the Makita LXT battery system. Supplied as the planer body only without batteries, charger or case, this variant allows you to utilise your existing Makita 18V batteries and charging equipment whilst adding professional planing capability to your toolkit.
Perfect for workshops and jobsites where power access is limited, this cordless planer delivers the same performance advantages as the mains-powered KP0800. The compact, lightweight design ensures comfortable handling during extended use, whilst the high-performance motor maintains consistent power delivery throughout demanding applications.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
