The Makita DUC353 Twin 18V LXT Cordless Brushless Chainsaw sets new standards for battery-powered cutting, matching the logging performance of similar size petrol saws whilst offering zero emissions, super-quiet operation and exceptional efficiency. This professional-grade chainsaw is available as a bare unit or with 5.0Ah or 6.0Ah battery configurations.
Powered by two 18V Li-ion batteries in series to deliver 36V performance, the direct-drive brushless motor produces a rated output of 1,100 watts—comparable to a 32cc petrol machine. Fitted with a 35cm guide bar and achieving chain speeds of 20 metres per second, this back-handle saw delivers impressive cutting capacity. Trials demonstrate that two fully charged 5.0Ah batteries provide over 60 cuts through 5-inch diameter timber, delivering at least seven linear metres of cutting per charge.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
