The Makita DUC353Z is the bare unit configuration, supplied without batteries or charger—ideal for professionals already invested in the Makita LXT 18V battery platform. This versatile option allows you to use your existing batteries and charging equipment whilst adding professional-grade chainsaw performance to your cordless toolkit.
This back-handle saw delivers 1,100 watts of cutting power through its brushless motor, fitted with a 35cm guide bar and achieving chain speeds of 20 metres per second. The robust construction weighs just 5.2kg ready to operate, with comprehensive safety features including automatic electric chain brake, kickback protection and auto power-off function. The 200ml chain oil tank features adjustable flow with metal gear pump and capacity display window.
The tool-less chain tensioning system enables quick adjustments in the field, whilst the large metal spike bumper provides secure workpiece control. With ergonomic soft-grip handle, variable speed trigger and constant speed control, this chainsaw delivers professional performance for arborists and forestry workers. Complete with chain, guide bar and protective cover—simply add your two 18V LXT batteries to begin work.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
