Makita DUC405 Twin 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Chainsaw 400mm
The Makita DUC405 is a professional-grade cordless chainsaw with a 400mm bar, powered by two Makita LXT 18v batteries working in series to deliver 36v performance. This versatile tool is available with different battery configurations to suit your working requirements.
Engineered with an energy-efficient brushless motor producing 1,100w maximum output, the DUC405 delivers chain speeds up to 20 m/sec for efficient cutting. The variable speed trigger with constant speed control circuit provides precise operation, whilst the adjustable automatic chain lubrication system ensures optimal chain performance. Safety features include an electric chain brake, kickback brake, and lock-off lever for secure operation.
The ergonomic design incorporates a soft grip handle for comfortable use during extended work periods, whilst the large separate-type metal spike bumper grips the workpiece firmly to provide enhanced control. Additional practical features include captive nuts that prevent loss during maintenance, an oil capacity display for monitoring lubrication levels, and an auto power-off function to conserve battery life.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
