Only had the strimmer a few weeks but so far the feedback is all positive. it is light and easy to use (sufficiently for my 16 year old daughter to be chief strimmer) and does an excellent job in clearing quite densely overgrown area without spitting debris into your face. it takes about 45 mins to re-charge the battery so if you are clearing a large area it can be tedious. Overall this is a great compromise if you have a large garden and do not want to have to trail an electric cable over a distance or go industrial strength with a petrol strimmer.

Easy to use and surprisingly powerful, even against my petrol trimmer. The battery use is really convenient when you need to be some distance from an electric point but, make sure you buy two batteries! It's a quality value for money product!

Never had an issue with ryobi, this is no exception. the trimmer is good in both battery and mains modes and runs for long enough to do both my front and back garden edges all around so not really needing the mains, the charger and battery that come with this are good and the charge time is short. i think it is a little expensive but a good tool none the less.
