Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

Purchased a new battery for my strimmer as the old one stopped working. Ordered a replacement from tooled-up which came very quickly; unfortunately the battery was defective and wouldn’t hold it’s charge. I contacted Tooled-up, who could not have been more helpful, a replacement for the replacement was sent out immediately with no quibbles whatsoever. Very impressed with the company and the customer service. Thank you Tooled-up

Was sent quickly but unfortunately it was faulty as it stopped working on my strimmer after a few minutes even after fully charging. Cost was refunded straight away.

This replacement battery works well as I expected , just wish I hadn't dropped the original one in some water. They dont like getting wet !!!

This is the third battery of this kind that I have purchased. The first two have failed - one after just over two years and one after one year. The current battery (purchased frrom Tooled-up) works charges and discharges correctly but the test switch operate only when very fully depressed. I'm happy to continue using the battery as is but ask you to note a potential malfunction for future reference.

Q : Will this battery fit a black & decker strimmer
A : Good morning, Suitable for use with all Black & Decker 36V Li-Ion garden tools.
Q : Hi Are there any cheaper alternatives to this battery for the B&D mower they came with?
A : Hi Steve, there aren't any that I'm aware of. I think Black & Decker have recently started making a 2.5ah battery (which I suppose would be more expensive if you could buy it separately) but apart from that it's only this battery that's available in the current 36v range.

A : Hi there, yes this is a suitable replacement battery for the GLC3630L20 - in fact, it can be used with all Black & Decker 36v tools as they only have one 36v lithium battery platform
Q : Is this battery compatible with the old charger for the BL2036 battery?
A : Hi Bruce, yes it will be fine with all your existing Black & Decker 36v equipment as although they have made a few cosmetic changes along the way the tools, chargers and batteries have always shared the same connections since the introduction of the 36v system
Q : Hi. Are the 18 volt and 36 volt batteries interchangeable. I.E.would the 36 volt battery fit my Black and Decker 18 volt hedge trimmer, strimmer and drill. Regards
A : Hi Paul, no I'm afraid the batteries from the Black & Decker 18v and 36v ranges are not interchangeable - the Black & Decker Dualvolt batteries can be used on both the 54v range and the 18v range but the 36v batteries are a different system which can only be used with selected garden tools
Q : Does it include the charger
A : This is for the battery only and does not come complete with charger. However, the item you are looking for is BDC2A36.
