I needed a replacement for my 550W Black and Decker strimmer but was reluctant to purchase another of the same power as 2 have packed up on me in fairly quick succession. I love the tools themselves though as they are so easy to use and precise, so decided to stay with the brand but purchase something with a more powerful motor. Have been delighted with my new strimmer so far - does the job beautifully. Not only do I love the strimmer, but I will be buying again from this website as they are very competitive on price.

Sturdy well made product with long enough power lead for small to medium sized garden. Three to six additional inches to length would make it more comfortable to use. Otherwise OK. The 'tough' additional strimmer could be tougher. Was soon shredded by my crop of weeds and lawn edges. Overall a good product for the price. Thank you Black & Decker.

A good powerful strimmer that can tackle heavy jobs. I like the edging feature and the telescopic shaft. The line autofeed is good and gets you around the annoyance of manually pulling a broken line out.

Brilliant product. Reviews mention this being a heavy and noisy strimmer but it’s definitely not!! For the power of this machine (I was cutting holes in my lawn in the first use ?????) it’s very quiet and really light. Only problem with the whole deal was the delivery! No fault of tooled-up.com but definitely DHL. Was told Friday delivery, so I waited in all day, then at 9pm it changed on the app to Monday. Then later on that night it was Tuesday. Then on the Sunday morning it changed to today, so I waited in all day again, then it changed again to Monday and then Tuesday. Awful delivery, so if you would use another courier company I will definitely use this site again

Very pleased with this strimmer. With the supplied heavy duty blue cord line it easily cut my grass that became 10 inches high.

Although this machine feels powerful I was disappointing by how much effort it takes and line it uses, I ran out of strimmer cord in a few metres of weeds. The machine keeps feeding out line and cutting it off. The supplied heavy duty cable is very expensive to replace and is limited in reach by the wheel mounted on the strimmer. There is also nowhere on the machine to store the power cable when not in use. It is not as comfortable to use as my old Black and Decker and takes a lot more space to store. It does seem well made but does suffer from a poor design.

You often fear the worst buying Black and Decker these days as with most manufacturers of power tools they are made in China. For sure its very plastic but it seems well thought out and not too flimsy. The shield is snap in and does its job but does look a little wobbly at times. On the whole though a decent product and time will tell if it has a decent life span or suffers from the junk build that most china produced goods come with.

I bought this grass trimmer for my husband and he is very happy with it and says it’s the best he has used and he’s used a few. His words were very powerful and cuts through grass like butter.

This black and decker strimmer GL9035 is well thought out with its features, built-in ground wheel for edging the lawn, push button to adjust the multi positional steadying handle, two forms of cutting heads, one for lawn grass and another for courser vegetation and a good powerful 900 Watt electric motor. She's quite a beast, as I found out by stripping the lawn bare in a few places until I got used to it, yes I'm very pleased with my new toy, thank you

We have a large garden and many power tools mostly petrol powered, as our garden has many 'difficult' areas. We needed a powerful but electric machine that was lighter and easier to start. This trimmer has exceeded our expectations in every way and it has found wider application than we thought, we should have bought it years ago. Very happy to recommend.

A : Hi Thomas, I'm afraid we don't deliver to Thailand. We can only ship within the UK and Ireland
Q : When I came to the end of my first spool, I could not get the empty spool out of the spool housing, nor since Am I missing something?
A : Hi Terence, I'm afraid I'm not too sure what has happened as there doesn't appear to be any secret technique to removing it and it should come out pretty easily once the spool cap is off. I take it you have been using the standard line? As the HD lines aren't on a spool as such, so there won't be a spool to remove. Otherwise I could only guess that some foreign object or a detached bit of line has worked its way into the mechanism and somehow jammed it...?
Q : Can you buy the line separate or do you have to buy renewable spools?
A : Yes - you can rewind the included spool with standard 2mm trimming line. In fact two of the products listed in the "Accessories" section are reels of line which enable you to do this.
Q : Is it possible to change the trimmer attachments, use different blades attachments to the head?
A : Hi Ash, the GL9035 can be used with either heavy duty or standard trimming lines but it can't be fitted with a solid blade - for that you would need a brush cutter
Q : I have just bought this strimmer , but it has no cable. Can you sell me a suitable cable?
A : Hi Margaret, I'm not sure if you mean a power cable? or grass trimming line? In either case, both of these should be included if you purchased it new and your supplier should be able to send them on to you. If you're looking for replacements or you bought it second hand, I'm afraid we don't sell power cables for these machines but any of the trimming line listed in the "Accessories.." column on the right of the product page will be suitable for use with it.
Q : I have a wall surrounding part of my lawn and with past strimmers this has caused the line to break after only a short distance. Will this HD line cope if I hit the wall?
A : Whilst hitting any brickwork or stone will damage the line the HD lines are thicker and more durable. I can also confirm that the edging wheel should act as a spacer enabling a close cut to your wall.
Q : How long is the electric cable. I have not seen it mentioned.
A : I can confirm that this comes with a power cable roughly 4 meters in length
