I was fed up with cutting the leads on my mains powered hedge trimmer, but somewhat sceptical as to whether this would perform as well. I have now used it to cut my leylandii hedge, the wisteria and the escallonia hedge without any issues, (and my mother's privet!) the inclusion of the second lithium battery is the deal maker and makes this a real bargain. Too early to tell about its reliability.

Pleased with this product. did wonder whether i might need the 36v model for extra power but this seems to do the job in small-medium garden. has so far trimmed hedges and trees, and cut through ivy and bamboo. glad to have the extra battery - thanks tooled-up! :-)

Very comfortable to use, feels very well balanced. Batteries last a good time in use (25+ min)& seem to hold charge when not in use. The extra battery is a big bonus point.

I purchased this equipment as i wanted a light good quality and effective equipment.At my age nothing much is easy anymore. This black & decker is exactly what i wanted having used it twice already on extensive hedge areas. Cuts smoothly and easily ... Almost effortless.Having two batterries means its always on charge. It isb safe because i can remove the batteries and keep these in a safe place, i woulds recommend this equipment to anyone of my age group and older

Cuts box hedge and conifer hedge neatly. Battery life and power seem good. Very lightweight and easy to handle.
