I've been impressed on first use on a large beech hedge. The battery power hasn't struggled with the woody stems. I already had two 2Ah batteries for use with a Bosch lawn mower, so there's always one on charge, but in fact the battery has more stamina than my arms! I chose a heavier unit for the task, but it's well balanced, and easier to use without bothering with a cord. Tooled-up offered the best price and delivery was quick and easy.

I’d already got the 36v battery with another Bosch product. I purchased the 65cm length hedge trimmer as I couldn’t get hold of the 54cm one. It was slightly more expensive but I’m so pleased I did. It is still fairly light to use and well balanced. It is a straight forward hedge trimmer, there are no real features but performance is excellent and I’ve been very impressed so far. Battery charging and running time are as advised, enough for hedges and large shrubs. An excellent garden tool, which has already made my life a lot easier.

This is my third Bosch Hedge Clippper and while it compliments the other two very well this one is a completely different beast. Performance wise it is more like a 2 stroke model than my other battery powered models, not just in its ability to cut larger branching but also in terms of its weight when using a 4.0 AH battery. I would recommend this tool to someone already well experienced in pruning technique who has large hedges or bushes to deal with and also the strength to weild it properly. Used unwisely this clipper has the power to cause some seriously unwanted results that a smaller lighter model such as the Bosch AHS 55 would not do.

I bought the hedge trimmer as a bare unit as I already had a battery and charger. I have used it a couple of times and have found it to be powerful and effective. It has a long cutter which makes the job easier and it tackles even quite thick hedge stems (approx. 1cm) without problems. The 36v battery is barely discharged after 45 minutes of use. Overall I am very pleased with it and it's great not having to worry about cutting through the power cable.

We already have other 36v battery garden tools by Bosch (lawnmower and strimmer) so when the cabled hedge trimmer broke it was logical to get the Bosch equivalent. There wasn’t much choice of suppliers but Tooled-Up were able to offer it at a good price for the ‘bare’ version (we have 3 batteries already). It wasn’t in stock when the order was placed but they sent it as soon as it became available. First few uses have confirmed it’s a good bit of kit and easy to use.
