Garden Shredders Important Information
The capacity of Garden Shredders is affected by a number of factors and will be reduced from the stated figures in some instances. Green wood with high moisture content, wet wood, especially hard wood can all cause the shredder to struggle to shred efficiently. Never shred wood that has a diameter larger than the stated figures and in instances as above shred only smaller diameters. Allow sufficient time to cool the motor when shredding large amounts in order to avoid burnout.

Needed a shredder that dealt with "greenery" without clogging up and this unit is very good. I find the trade off is greenery vs branches and this one is good for greenery eg conifer cuttings.
I needed a shredder that would deal with conifer and weeping willow branches as my other shredder (bosch also but with a archimedes type screw that is very good for wood but useless for greenery) would jam when trying to shred greenery. This unit is very good allround and produces a very fine "shredding" suitable for mulching. Too early to say how long the blades last.
Unlike some other shredders, this one produces fine chippings suitable for mulching and quick conversion to compost. Fine bendy twigs aren't dealt with too well but anything reasonably firm or over about 5mm diameter gets nicely shredded. Green wood up to 30mm is devoured really easily. It's a little bit loud and i prefer to put some tissue in my ears but i'm probably a bit sensitive. The blade is fairly easy to remove for sharpening (a simple sharpening stone works well). The wheels look a little bit on the light side but it seems movable enough.
Purchased whilst on discount promotion and happy with the shredder. Came with additional blade which do seem to loose their sharpens after a while so best get a spare if you are doing a lot of shredding like i did.
Purchased for son who had a large amount of branch debris to chip. All went very smoothly for several hours without problems. When some wood was put through which was not absolutely dry, the chipper soon clogged up but was easily cleared. The blade blunted after probably 3 hours and as it is reversible it was changed over to complete the job. All in all a good product.
