Garden Shredders Important Information
The capacity of Garden Shredders is affected by a number of factors and will be reduced from the stated figures in some instances. Green wood with high moisture content, wet wood, especially hard wood can all cause the shredder to struggle to shred efficiently. Never shred wood that has a diameter larger than the stated figures and in instances as above shred only smaller diameters. Allow sufficient time to cool the motor when shredding large amounts in order to avoid burnout.

Works excellently as long as the blade is sharp. I resharpen my blade either on a bench grinder or with a rotary mower sharpener although this is not strictly recommended. If you do not do this, blade replacement is going to be costly. Noisy enough to wear ear defenders. I see no reason why this machine should not give many years service.
Only used once but seems to do the job ok
My previous shredder was a bosch quiet shredder with the corkscrew cutter. solidly built but i got fed up with it keep clogging. i've used this one a couple of times so far and it's much better - certainly quicker, much easier to feed with softer materials using the wide thin plunger, and not too noisy. Hasn't clogged yet either. Plus it's cheaper than the quiet types. Tends to be a bit messy at the discharge end (ooh- er missus) as stuff tends to fly out at all angles, probably ok with the proper bag attached though, shame they don't supply that with it.
This is a very good machine that delivers good results.It takes fair sized branches, bigger than expected and it takes a little effort to feed them in but can be a little scary when it snatches them from you and has a bit of a 'kick back'. when it comes to noise,this machine is not the quietest but neither is it too loud, depending on where you are using it. it would be improved with a collection box as it creates a fair bit of 'dust'. all in all i feel that it is a 'value for money' machine that delivers well shredded material. another drawback is no collection box
Only used it 3 times to date but it did the job. not quite so good with very thin twigs, larger ones are reduced to finer shreddings? Haven't tries branches with leaves yet. not too noisy. i bought this type of shredder rather than the crusher type as i wanted a light weight machine easily carried by car and it fits the bill.
So far works a treat and easy to use
