Garden Shredders Important Information
The capacity of Garden Shredders is affected by a number of factors and will be reduced from the stated figures in some instances. Green wood with high moisture content, wet wood, especially hard wood can all cause the shredder to struggle to shred efficiently. Never shred wood that has a diameter larger than the stated figures and in instances as above shred only smaller diameters. Allow sufficient time to cool the motor when shredding large amounts in order to avoid burnout.

Have put part of a privet hedge through it inc lots of woody stuff. Performed very well.Gobbles stuff up. No jams yet.I'm looking forward to getting a lot of useful work out of it. Early days yet but very pleased so far.
Seems very good - very fast and copes with waste from a medium sized suburban garden very well
Excellent purchase. Does everything you would expect at a sensible price. There are cheaper shredders available but with this you get bosch quality plus a spare blade. The blade is easy to sharpen using either a sharpening stone or grinder(should the occasional bit of wire be wrapped round a branch and go unnoticed). Do not bother buying the optional bag, get a one ton builders bag and stand the whole machine in that. When you have finished shredding lift the shredder out and the waste is ready bagged for transport.
Very happy with product - it struggles with anything over 25mm but i must i had anticpated this. overall a very good buy and i am pleased with it

Previous review somehow got muddled with the review for the larger bosch turbine shredder that we also own. so, the 2200 quiet shredder is brilliant for finer stuff and produces a chopped output that will compost easily and well. runs for hours without problems. the quiet shredders use a spinning blade a bit like a food processor. take care not to put very hard 'dry' wood stems or soil/debris into the machine. Blade will become blunt if you do. brilliant piece of kit.
